      Thank you for your E-mail,
Postgraduate orthopaedics second edition covers the whole FRCS (Tr&Orth) syllabus in one book. This includes clinicals, vivas and the MCQ component of the exam As far as we know this is the only book that has attempted to do so. The book mirrors the exam format so allowing candidates to more fully understand the orientation of the exam.
Postgraduate orthopaedics viva guide to the FRCS (Tr&Orth) concentrates on the viva component of the exam. It is a much more specific book that guides candidates through this part of the exam. It focuses on how candidates interact with both the question and to a lesser extent the examiner.A large proportion of the book consists of a question and answer format. There are many more photographs in the book as these usually act as a prop to start up a viva question.
