Postgraduate Orthopaedics: The Candidates Guide to the FRCS

(Tr &Orth) Examination, 3rd Edition

Paul A Banaszkiewicz and Deiary F Kader-Cambridge University Press, January 2017 ISBN: 9781107451643

I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to pass the FRCS (Tr&Orth) exam. The book is easy to read and uses different methods to explain scenarios/conditions (e.g standard text regarding a condition, candidate and examiner Q&A sessions with previous questions and topics that could be expected in the exam). The illustrations and the radiographs are of good quality and are relevant. This book is an excellent book and essential for the FRCS (Tr&Orth) exam.

The book does contain a number of grammar mistakes which unfortunately slipped through the net. The book is a large volume text and quite complicated in places to both type set and proof read. Any very obvious mistakes will be corrected by Cambridge University Press and we will also add errata to the website.

We are hoping to move sooner than later for a 4e but it is still far too early to plan for this.
